James Silverthorn
James Silverthorn is an associate at DNLC. Mr. Silverthorn works in the areas of eminent domain and inverse condemnation, bankruptcy, real property litigation, and intellectual property.
Mr. Silverthorn received his bachelor’s degree in Ecological Management and Restoration from the University of California, Davis. He received his juris doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, with a concentration in intellectual property. Mr. Silverthorn graduated with distinction as a member of the Traynor Honor Society, having been placed on the Dean’s Honor List each year of law school.
As a law student, Mr. Silverthorn was involved as the Intellectual Property Student Association President and received the CALI award in International Intellectual Property. During law school, Mr. Silverthorn worked as a research assistant for both Professor Jay Mootz and Professor Mike Mireles. During law school, he clerked at firms specializing in personal injury and family law and externed with the California Department of Human Resources.
Mr. Silverthorn has also passed the United States Patent and Trademark Office registration exam, qualifying him as a Patent Agent (registration number: 81,390).
